RECIPIENT BIO
My name is Gemma. I'm 20 months old and live in Mesa. I'm globally delayed and unable to sit, talk, or move around by myself. I was doing so great in my therapies; however, my infantile spasms came back while trying to wean one of my heavy duty seizure meds. My mom left her job in February 2021 when I was diagnosed and is my full time caregiver. My dad works hard, but only having one income is tough. I get virtual PT through AZEIP and go to in-clinic PT using my private insurance. They only let me have 20 visits a year spread among all therapies. Please consider me for your intensive program in August. My parents' ultimate goal is to get me sitting independently so I have more freedom and can learn how to play independently with my toys. We've been working on this goal for a year now and an intensive would be the extra help that I need.
There are so many ways you can help our community. Understanding the financial burden and generously alleviating any of the burden is hugely impactful to so many families. Donation pages are below, but we are always thinking outside the box as well. If you would like to host a family during an intensive, that is a huge contribution. We are always looking for volunteers as well.
Feeling More Generous Donate FIFTY Dollars
Please note grants are from independent organizations. Adaptive Movements Pediatric Therapy has made every effort to provide high-quality scholarships, grants and resources . Information should be independently verified and confirmed. Questions about specific grants should be addressed to the organization offering the grant.
