SpiderCage therapy is a cage like structure (also known as a Universal Exercise Unit) used by therapists to help treat muscular conditions. The cage functions by supporting or resisting the patient’s movements with the use of resistance bands and bungees connected to both the frame of the cage and a customized suit / belt worn by the patient. The SpiderCage assists the patient in standing without a therapist’s assistance while allowing freedom of movement and facilitating balance.
Who can benefit from SpiderCage Intensives?
It is typically used to treat children with a neuromuscular condition, but it benefits anyone with limited strength, limited range of motion or limited body control.
